Mr. Mulla was continuously receiving threat calls from SYED YASIN, former Congress MLA of Raichur City He claimed that through an application under the Right to Information Act, he had unearthed irregularities in the usage of development funds released for the constituency. According to Mr. Mulla, Kaleem Dabra, Mohammed Ali Khalandari and Fareed Dabra, who were the aides of Mr. Yasin, were assaulting him (Mr. Mulla) and his elderly father and asking him to stop unearthing the irregularities in the constituency.
