Mr. President. I am only a fourth year high school student whose parents come from Palo and Tanuan, Leyte. I cannot stand seeing them cry anymore. I share their sorrow, having sleepless nights, grieving for the loss of their fellow kababayans. We still have no updates from some of our relatives. I am not very young, so I must speak up for what I believe in, and I can see that the government doesnt seem to truly care. As the president, you should have been responsible for initiating immediate deployment of personnel, equipment, and relief goods for a faster recovery of the province and its people. You have all the power to tap all concerned private sectors to help in the relief operations and even just the cleaning of the roads, not even the entire restoration itself. There are cadavers everywhere which could be placed somewhere decently. And has peace and order really gotten out of hand? These looting could have been prevented if the peoples needs were addressed at once. You only took action when everyone was already in chaos. You have to understand that you cannot fool every single Filipino with your pretentious deeds. Most of your countrymen may see the C130 as a very big help but soon they are going to realize that you could have done so much more and that we cannot depend on it alone. We have received so much donations already which I hope will not go somewhere else again. And what do I hear in the news that you have more than enough relief goods and rescue team? I shouldnt have posted this if there actually is! There are people who need relief goods from other places besides Tacloban who are not entertained. My mother has called DILG and she was told to just pray! Dont you realize that prayer without action is nothing? And it was very unprofessional and immature of you to point your finger at the government officials of Tacloban, blaming them for not being prepared for this calamity. Dont you realize that they are under your administration so their unpreparedness reflects yours? Blaming them doesnt help! You should have uplifted them instead, inspiring them that things would soon get better. But no, you are adding fuel to the fire. Just so you know, you have very slow action, prolonging the suffering of the victims. PLEASE DOUBLE YOUR EFFORTS IN TRYING TO RESTORE OUR BELOVED PROVINCE AND IN HELPING OUR KABABAYANS. You can do so much!! Kindly excuse me but I really just cant seem to understand how you have won that position considering your incompetence. I am very disappointed with our government..
