Mrs. Costellos first graders took part in The Great Pumpkin Investigation in preparation for Halloween. The students worked in groups to investigate things like how many lines their pumpkin had, how big around it was, how tall, how heavy, if it would sink or float, how many seeds were inside their pumpkin, and if a blow dryer would make the pumpkin roll. The best part was after their investigations were complete, they were able to choose a silly, scary, or happy face to carve in their pumpkin! A good time was had by all!
