Ms. Peggy Noonan is a lovely, bright, intelligent, and genteeled Lady who wrote a column just before Obamas election titled with something like What do we really have to fear from a Barack Presidency? Well I hope she has figured that out by now, actually she has been fairly critical but she did not see it coming, I did and Im no where near her level of smart. I like her, I read her, but she is not gospel and here she goes again. This is an excellent column on the CIA situation. I read Dr. Mark Moyars book Phoenix and the Birds of Prey and walked away with , I think, a better, clearer view of these issues of interrogation and realize that our experts are just that. They know what works and what does not. We set legal authorities that they followed and yes in war the unintended happens and 2 folks died that maybe should not have but how many of us died? Moral Preening is cute for the world stage but if you want to preserve what we have you had better realize that our program is nothing like Imperial Japans or the Nazis not the Soviets nor the Chinese. They never had to care what their populations thought, we do and the Catch-22 here is they did what they could legally and are still getting beat up for it. Get a clue.
