Mt. Shasta - Trinity Forest, Yes up n the mountain only few people lives there.some of them are campground hosts & forest ranger. We camped at Tannery Gulch n Whiskeytown & drove around the mountain with amazing view, peace & quiet. Nice & developed roads & highways. From highway 3 where our campsite was, drove up 1 1/2 hour to Yreka intersection 5 South to the City of Mt. Shasta, Mc Cloud Falls & back to Hway 299 for us to see the whole forest area of Shasta Trinity forest. Hundreds & hundreds of miles of scenic view & deers, rattle snake. The peak of Mt. Shasta w the elevation of 14,179 feet. An awesome campsite to be if u love camping. How beautiful nature is God gave us.
