Much of Cheyenne County continues to need rain. Showers pop up occasionally and, on Wednesday, there was a nice rain in St. Francis shutting down the carnival. Kathy Woodcox, St. Francis weather observer, reported .10 inch of rain. Northwest of St. Francis, there were fields of corn damaged and Shelley Culwell reported some windows broken when ping-pong ball to quarter-sized hail fell.
