Mulenga Sata Set for Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata will today take another step towards his fast tracked political trajectory when he will be rubber stamped as Lusaka City Mayor during elections where he will be unopposed. Mulenga, who is President Sata’s son, has had the political way swept clear for him as he is being touted as a possible successor to his father in a monarch style of leadership. He was also recently elected (unopposed) as Lusaka District chairman after his challenger was coerced into withdrawal at the last minute. While Mulenga will be the sole candidate at the top, the deputy mayor position has attracted six candidates all from the ruling party.
