Multiple Postdoctoral/Research Associate positions are available for molecular biologists and electrophysiologists to study cellular calcium, ion channels, reactive oxygen species, and neurotransmitter receptors in cardiovascular and respiratory muscle cells. Our current research projects focus on investigations of the molecular geneses, regulatory mechanisms, and functional roles of these signaling molecules. Applicants for molecular biologist positions should have appropriate training in molecular, cellular, protein, mitochondrial, developmental biology, genetics, pharmacology, and/or physiology. Strong research background in gene targeting technology, small molecule library screening, and/or gene microarray assay are desirable. For electrophysiologist positions, candidates must have hands-on experience in the patch-clamp and/or planar lipid bilayer recording techniques.
