Mum question: I am a first time mum to an energetic 21 month old boy. My question relates to behavior. When in a playground with other kids he gets so excited. He runs after them with arms outstretched wanting to touch them / push them. Yesterday he hit a boy with a toy. I was appalled. What is normal behavior for boys / kids this age. And how to deal with it? I pulled him aside, told him to say sorry (he ignored me but looked at the boy) and apologized to the parent. Is he just an enthusiastic kid pushing boundaries or other? Id be intrigued to hear about the psychology of this one..? Thanks.
