Mum question:My baby is six months old now and for the past few - TopicsExpress

Mum question:My baby is six months old now and for the past few months she has been refusing to eat during the day. She is on nutramigen formula for her milk allergy. For some reason sometimes when I giver her a bottle during the day she usually fusses through about 3 ounces of it. When it comes to night time though she will sometimes wake up every 3 or 4 hours and eat perfectly normal. What should I do? I have tried switching the flow of her nipples, not offerring a bottle at night (which I hate to do because then she doesnt get her needed amount of oz) I try giving her solids to replace missed bottles. Im not sure what else to try. Doctors never have a good solution either. Pinky says: Could you try a dream feed during the day - when she is sleepy /just as shes stirring awake. Introduce one feed at a time like this over several days so she gradually gets her digestive system back onto a better day/night schedule. Its such a vicious cycle - because she is feeding at night, she probably isnt very hungry during the day and because shes not feeding much during the day, shes hungry at night. Perhaps try an afternoon dream feed first and see if this helps her feel more full.
