Mumbai Rains update, Occasional rainfall will continue in Mumbai on Thursday (25/07) also though the intensity is expected to reduce widely and hence occasional at times and mostly drizzle/light rains. There will be a sharp decline in the rainfall towards the weekend due to which partial delays in the road,rail traffic will persist for a few days ( especially on Thursday). At the same time, rains are likely to increase in Gujarat and create problems in some big cities. A low pressure at the lower level of the atmosphere will likely form over Gujarat pulling the moisture from Arabian Sea and convection will trigger a few thunderstorms cause the rains. By Thursday evening/night heavy rains are expected in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat which will spread more westward and likely cover the entire state on Friday and leaving the state by around Monday. This system will likely bring rains in those areas of Gujarat where rains have been deficient till now ** Waterlogging is likely in many areas of Gujarat with flood like situations arising. People must pay attention towards the local authority. Meanwhile, a low pressure from the Bay of Bengal will sweep through North Central India which will bring heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh and some effect will be seen towards the Maharashtra (Northern) side like Vidarbha (Nagpur) on 27th July 2013. After which, the rainfall will decrease considerably
