Murofushi still wants to compete MONACO (MON): Legendary Japanese hammer thrower Koji Murofushi still wants to compete next year. The olympic winner 2004 at age of 39 is considering his next career very carefully. First goal could be the jubilee 20th Japanese national title in hammer in June. Then if shape will be ok he could compete at other international events. He is also not ruling out Beijing World Championships 2015. We will see, he says. As an active hammer campaigner he is fully behind the initiatives towards hammer throw beeing included into the IAAF Diamond League. He is also thinking about some rule changes in throws which will allow start of the new era of world records. In Moscow in August he was 6th in the hammer final. With fellow athletes Murofushi was part of IAAF Athletes Commission Meeting on Sunday in Monaco.
