Music News ! Phil Rudd murder threat details emerge ! The prosecutors in New Zealand have now revealed exactly why the AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd into police custody. The information was released on Friday morning, telling the story of the morning of September 26 when Rudd called a business associate and discussed what he wanted done to an unnamed man who had been employed by Rudd for the last three years. He then placed a second call to the targeted man where he allegedly threatened to kill him and his daughter. Rudd was originally arrested for attempting to procure a murder; however, those charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. He was charged with threatening to kill and, after police raided his home on November 6, drug possession. While Phil admits to the drug possession, he remains firm that he did not make the phone calls or threaten the man. The situation became more complicated earlier this week when Rudd was, once again, detained under investigation that he breached bail by coming in contact with a prosecution witness in an incident that ended in a physical encounter. If convicted, Rudd could face up to seven years on the threat charge alone with additional time for the drug possessions. While his status within AC/DC is unknown, he will not be touring with the band in support of their new album Rock or Bust.
