#Music : Song from 2013 that celebrated the arrival of the Egyptian Anarchist Black Bloc on the streets of #Egypt, a movement that too many anarchists in the Western / English-speaking world chose not to support due to the usual petty sectarianism & racist notions of ideological superiority. Song makes mention of how the brothers (Muslim Brotherhood) betrayed original Egypt Revolution. All of Egyptian anarchist movement are now either imprisoned, disappeared or in hiding, along with all of Egyptian radical left. This song is both a battle-cry for the Egyptian anarchist movement and a defiant acceptance of the inevitable martyrdom they faced at the hands of the regime for the heroic stance they took, that once again, so-called radicals of the West saw fit to ignore. LYRICS: Black anger. In the name of God the most merciful. Black Bloc, a group of free men. Black Bloc, embodies a struggling culture. Black Bloc, we are charged with perseverance. Black Bloc, were not afraid of repression or of being stopped. Black Bloc, a group of free men. Black Bloc, embodies a struggling culture. Black Bloc, we are charged with perseverance. Black Bloc, were not afraid of repression or of being stopped. I am Egyptian. I am like you. I am not a terrorist but I was hurt when darkness knocked on my door. I was on my guard. I equipped myself, prepared myself. I was my own ammunition. We did our job, a group, some friends and myself. We said, let us protect the revolutions. I want to protect my brothers. Were not afraid of the thugs or officers in suits. We made a hard decision. Its impossible to turn back on it. Ill die for the sake of my brothers. Its only impossible to ... Black Bloc, a group of free men Black Bloc, embodies a struggling culture Black Bloc, we are charged with perseverance. Black Bloc, were not afraid of repression or of being stopped So I stand with the people, Im not opposing your legitimacy. As long as you kill my brothers youll remain king here. I dont know what you think of your hidden crimes. And you mock the people in the name of Islamic Law. The brothers are traitors. The youth have been killed. People are fearful. Its possible to do anything and be he who wields the sword (to have power). You answered well and we thought those answers were a promise. But with time, we discovered that you all are dogs among others. We were ignorant to your explanations in the name of God. The black is our wickedness, anger shows on our face, and darkness overflows within us. Another government takes its place yet there is still blood here. Where will there be retribution? How will we repress the bullets when darkness walks free and that which protects us hides? So let us bring justice or be content with chaos. May protection be with you all. Nothing is with us except souls of the martyrs after God the glorious and almighty. Glory to the revolution. Glory to the struggle. Glory to the martyrs.
