The candlelight vigil to be held in Sydney this Thursday night will include guest speakers, musical performances and video messages from prominent Australians all supporting mercycampaign.org’s #istandformercy message. Musicians confirmed to appear on Thursday 29 January in Sydney include Josh Pyke, Julian Hamilton (The Presets), Megan Washington, Emma Louise, Paulie Stewart (Painters and Dockers), Jenny Morris, Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil), Glenn Richards (Augie March), The Tambourine Girls, Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Justine Clarke and The Church’s Steve Kilbey. The list continues to grow by the minute. Video messages of support have been recorded by many prominent Australians including Andrew Denton, Jennifer Byrne, Bryan Brown, Missy Higgins and Claudia Karvan.
