Music marketing useful info. People of all ages still use facebook to follow their favorite bands - contrary to the idea that only the 35+ crowd is using the platform. People are not using soundcloud to follow artists although they will listen to music there. Instagram is growing much faster than Twitter (183M new users a month to 115M) but Twitter is still more popular for artists. Brand deals are dominated by Universal thanks to the development of a department dedicated to partnerships but indie labels are tied for 2nd alongside Warner in brand deals. But this could change as brands are NOT seeing many gains by partnering with artists while artists definitely are seeing their audience shares sky rocket.
