Music to me is dynamic, emotional and impressionable. It can create moods, tug at your soul and sometimes enhance whats already there. Although a song may have a specific meaning to the artist the song inadvertently pushes through the mainstream and takes on other meanings by the listeners. Music speaks to us all in very different ways because were all always at different stages of our lives and not usually intersecting. The topic of music has come up a lot lately with my 13 year old daughter. She has what I would call a diverse taste in music which is great. We are both sharing music libraries, thoughts and opinions and its been really awesome. Over the past week I have noticed she keeps going back to one song in specific so I started listening to it. I hope it does not mean the same to her as it does to me and I am almost certain it doesnt because thats never the way it works. Either way, if she is struggling, music in my opinion will help her and her pops will too. This is the song.
