Musing a little here: Lately there has been a lot of emphasis on the "seeker Friendly" churches with "pastors" who are "with it" and really relate to the young, hip, casual crowd. These pastors show up to preach their well thought out sermons complete with christian "jokes" peppered in so they can show the crowd how well they communicate with the "common average income guy and gal. So my question, taking all this to the logical conclusion is, why do these hip, with it and totally dedicated to the mid level attender, live in houses rivaling those of the esteemed "car salesman" Joel Osteen...I have seen the digs thes "pasotrs" live in; 5 of them now all told....honestly , I am not buying the whole casual ratty jeans and sweatty overshirt, guys...When does the shepherd look like the sheep? Maybe a course on true pastoring and leadership would help. The message is truly lost on those too tight jeans and scruffy t...sorry. There is something wrong with some of the "shepherds".
