Musings of a Two Wheeled Poet. Still sweating from my twilight - TopicsExpress

Musings of a Two Wheeled Poet. Still sweating from my twilight labors, I ride towards a warm home. The chilled wind on my face. I spot to the right two lovers, wrapped in embrace on the bench. My switch flips and thoughts swirl; Walking down the lighted way, hands clasped, down the concrete paths merged with concrete walls, energy gone from the long night, they perch themselves on the public seating, wooed by the libations previously, they move close to each other and wrap their arms around, lips touch in a battle (tongue hockey I have never seen a game to match!) Stayed, these bench lovers, till the sun rose and warmed their ears. The cherry in my cheeks brought me back to the pounding of my wheels going round and round sure as my heart beats, sure as the wind above the sea. My journey continues on, sleep scratching on me. The cold trying to victor over me I go, I see a flash ahead. flash. flash. As I whiz by I behold a beauty of sunshine hair. flash. flash. The cigarette remained unlit. To have a lighter at this moment would have been my undoing as a scholar! I pondered to my loss; Sunshine has fire abandoned even thee? Come here I shall return it to you, Why at this hour have you not set, my Sunshine? flash. inhale, exhale. You my dear, depart and sleep to awake at Apollos beckon. Tips hat in sightly bow (I have not this hat.. yet!) I continue my cold mission to warmer climes leaving my Sunshine to ponder unknown verse.
