Muslims, you cant read the Bible the same way you read the Quran. - TopicsExpress

Muslims, you cant read the Bible the same way you read the Quran. Take the gospels for example. Each gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) is a narrative (story) similar to a biography, which tells about Jesus words and deeds while he was on earth, as recorded by those who saw him and heard him. They are each in chronological (time) order, with a beginning, a middle and an end, so they need to be read that way. Start from the beginning (Ch 1) of each gospel and read all the way through until the end. Thats the way to understand what theyre saying, rather than jumping around randomly from verse to verse. Read them as you would read any biography. You wouldnt jump around and read random sentences in a biography--you would start from the beginning and go to the end. The gospels start with Jesus birth or the beginning of his ministry, and continue to his death, resurrection and ascension. Because they are organized this way, they are MUCH easier to read, follow, and understand than the Quran. Once youve done this, THEN come and ask us your questions. Hope this helps. Happy reading!
