Mutula Kilonzo Junior: Cord’s Wiper Party Gets A New Lease Of Life By Rashid Wanjala Cord gets a new lease of life and fresh breath of air with a new face entrant Mutula Kilonzo Junior into the Makueni race. As Jubilee sinks deeper into oblivion, one by one, Cord gets an opportunity to bring to the fore new and youthful faces. Makueni by-election is as good as done. Jubilee should be out of tricks now. Cord is resurgent. We have the momentum. MK Jnr also a plucking from the groins of Mutula Kilonzo is like Kethi Kilonzo a partner in the Mutula Kilonzo and Co. advocates. MK Jnr has represented high profile clients including retired President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, in cases where the incoming Senator for Makueni has won hands down. As we shall soon realize, Jubilee will learn that when one door closes another wide gate opens into a city of fortunes and wealth, as their candidate is for sure destined for a thrashing in the polls in about 10 days. Jubilee should brace itself for a hands down beating that will compensate partly for the rigged 2013 presidential poll. Uhuru and Ruto’s ineptitude and insecurity, made them expend their energies on an innocent girl whose only fault was prosecuting the Supreme Court case against the rigged 2013 election. Even though out of the race, Kethi goes into the annals of history a dignified woman, and will in due course be exonerated by destiny. She loved Makueni and she has paid a price for it. A mango doesn’t fall far from the mango tree, and her brother MK jnr will as well wave the flag of his father, and I am sure the murdered senator had a premonition when he named him MK Jnr. The household of Mutula Kilonzo was not short of talents, as those who took Mutula’s life will soon realize. MK Jnr is already an established brand that doesn’t even have to campaign, add Cord’s well oiled political machine and Kenya’s disillusionment with Jubilee’s poor performance, and you have a crushing cruise to victory for Kethi’s elder brother. This coming at a time when IEBC is scared of swearing an oath that their report for 2013 isn’t doctored should be depressing to Uhuru and Ruto. To the Cord family, MK jnr brings renewed energy, vigor, freshness and vitality. It catches the ill prepared and misadvised TNA and Jubilee off guard, and the replenished resolve of the Cord fraternity is sure to deliver a thrashing to the political clown- Phillip Kaloki fronted by the slow thinkers in TNA through their satellite party NARC. Out of all these hullballoo, Cord emerges the victor, Jubilee the villain. TNA top brass looks like fools, because Mutula Kilonzo re–incarnate gets to represent Makueni anyway. Wiper retains its seat. And Cord’s numbers stay intact. Killing Mutula was evil, but it helps Cord get a new face in The Senate. Like a snake, Cord’s old skin gets shed, and a new one emerges. Kethi gets to focus on revitalizing the the youth and women wing of the movement while also helping give CORD its ideological traction. The CORD movement’s ideals and aspirations of millions that it continues to carry remains inscribed in its admirer’s hearts. 0 inShare
