My 16 yr old was involved in an accident yesterday in a parking lot. A man came driving through the lanes and hit the side of her car as she was driving down the lane. She is ok but her brand new car (that still has a paper plate) was damaged. The cops came but didnt file a report because a parking lot is private property. Cop said that each party would be responsible for their own damage. I was a paralegal for many years and saw a lot of nonsense with people and insurance companies so I was prepared for a fight. However, I am thanking God this morning that there are still some honest people in this world. The man who hit her called his insurance company and accepted full responsibility. The adjuster called me this morning to say they will pay for all of her damages and get us a rental. Looking at the bright side!
