My 18 year old daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with M.E when she was 14. My daughter didnt return to school from that day on. She applied for Personal independence payment in January this year and waited until October to have a face to face interview. .only to be informed 2 weeks later she doesnt qualify for any element of P.I.P. one of the reasons being that the DWP know that medication is not prescribed for M.E. My daughter has a restricted quality of life. She enrolled on a beauty therapy course in September but its becoming too much for her to cope with. My daughter left school with no qualifications and has little prospects of gaining further education and furthermore a career. Time the government make changes to the Personal Independence Payment assessment to enhence the lives of the sufferers of this debilitating awful disease. By the way the DWP did say even though its a disease M.E. sufferers dont fit the criteria. TIME TO FIGHT BACK
