My 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 is back together and running smoothly - TopicsExpress

My 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 is back together and running smoothly after removing the radiator and fan to adjust the position of the harmonic dampener to get the smoothest engine vibration position. I had removed it earlier to check the crankshaft pulley and tighten it, then decided to sand and repaint the harmonic dampener, losing my scratched mark to replace it in the same position . . . duh! Removing the generator to replace the front drive bearing was not planned but luckily I noticed the generator pulley could wiggle with the belt off. My generator overhaul was successful as the red light goes out immediately and the engine runs smoothly.
