My 2 cents...Having arrived in this country in the early 50s & after reading this I guess my European blood is still flowing strong. My biggest adjustment, no E.S.O.L. back then or any consideration for a child didnt know the language, I was just kind of dropped in an Army school, sink or swim. #5 has been a pet peeve of mine for a while.. No tipping in your county and you complain about lack of service, go figure. Still getting used to the gaps in restrooms cubicles. Bread is awful. Even the artisan ones. No one makes bread like the Germans. Eating salad first, am used to it now. #11 must be confusing LOUD? they never had a meal at the Griffins, that was loud. #23 could it be third world countries without rules and regulations DO raise better produce? Chocolate does indeed suck, only because it is mostly NOT chocolate. #28 not just the college ones #29 so true #30 and the touchy feely nailed it.
