My 2 cents on this whole Facebook name policy. Ive seen sooooo many of my friends whove had to change their name on Facebook to their legal given name. Drag Queens, Performers, Actors, DJs, and people who went by their nick names or middle names on Facebook, cause thats what theyve been going by their entire life. Facebook claims that this is a policy to protect users and hold users responsible for content. Yet, it says you can still create other profiles under your other names, as long as the profile is set up as a page where people will have to like your page. And in order for people to see your posts, it will have to be liked, shared, or boosted with MONEY. Make no mistake about it. This isnt about your safety, its about MONEY. I hope someone comes up with a new social media app. Personally, Im tired of Facebooks rules and regulations, and constant changes. Im tired of scrolling down and seeing disgusting fights (apparently not against their policy). Ive personally been kicked off Facebook twice for posting pictures of GoGo boys in their underwear, however I see Sandals Resort ads of women in skimpy bikinis all the time. Double Standards? Homophobic? Maybe its time to go back to myspace and give that a look.
