My 2p and Shelfie ... To be honest, I was super excited to get my hands on the X-Pro1 again this week, after not having used one for around 18 months, the new firmware enhancements have greatly improved this camera, not that there was anything wrong with it to begin with... 50% of my portfolio was shot on the X-Pro1... Saying that, my favourite camera of this line up is still the X100S, its the one I still reach for most of the time, its silent, compact, sturdy and fast... The X-Pro1 is fun to use, slows me down a little, and allows me to get in the right mindset, but with lenses attached is clunkier, heavier and larger than the X100S... The X-T1 is a dream to use, and given the choice between the X-Pro1 and X-T1 (price aside) I have to say I would choose the X-T1 simply because as expected, for a camera that is 2 years newer, its faster, snappier, has a crisp virtually lag-free Viewfinder and LCD, the Tilt Screen is very handy, and the countless enhancements make it effortless to use... The X-Pro1 is a great camera which in the hands of a skilled operator can take EXACTLY the same quality images as the X100S & X-T1 (it has EXACTLY the same sensor) For Serious Street Photography if 28mm, 35mm & 50mm focal ranges are all you need, then youd be crazy to go for anything other than the X100S or the newer X100T (and yes I mean that even over the Leica M240 regardless of price, I have the choice and choose fuji everytime) if you want to shoot fashion, will carry lenses in a bag, and want to use the already legendary 56mm and 56mm APO or shoot wider, faster the X-Pro1 is fantastic, and for the price they are going for now (around £500 new) you cant beat it if youre after an interchangeable lens FUJI and know exactly what you want it for... But remember it is a bit clunky for dynamic work, if you need slightly faster focussing, faster frame rate and are shooting commercially then you should get the X-T1... Thats my 2p, I dont do reviews, I take photos, but am often asked about gear, so there goes :) BTW: The lineup pictured is X-T1 with 56mm & Photo Madd Grip, The X-Pro1 with 14mm & Grip removed, X100S with 28mm converter & RRS Grip, X30 & X20 alexlambrechts.viewbook/
