My 8 year old daughter who has attended Lobleyhill primary school - TopicsExpress

My 8 year old daughter who has attended Lobleyhill primary school since the age of 3, I have recently took her out of this school due to horrendous bullying, and I dont just mean name calling & playground bickering, she has been hit across the head with a racket, pulled around the playground by a hoolahoop, pinned to the floor with mud & grass forced into her mouth and every other child that became friends with her were told the same would happen to them if they were friends with her. Yet the majority of this didnt seem to catch teachers or playground leaders attention, this was all happening on a playground that is supposed to be supervised! And when my daughter did tell the playground leaders she was told to stop telling tales!! She stopped telling teachers and also didnt tell me who she would usually tell everything, as she was scared the bullying would only become worse. So I took it upon myself to arrange a meeting with the headteacher who told me this is an isolated incident and the child concerned hit my daughter across the head with a tennis racket due to be frustrated, well im sorry but that is no way to deal with frustration! The headteacher didnt attempt to resolve the problem and to be honest wasnt much help. My older Daughter also went to this school as a child and it was a good school I wouldnt of had a bad word to say about it but since headteacher Sue Mccelrue took over the school has went downhill completely and I wouldnt advise any parent to send there child there. I will be taking this further and contacting school governors and local newspapers, no child deserves to go through this let alone an 8 year old!! More to my disgust this could possibly be happening to other children.
