My Brother, My Colleague, My Friend, Thomas. Rest in Peace. The last time I met Holly was at the launch of the Radio Station for inmates at the Prison in Golden Grove, last year, we exchanged greetings and he said he recognized Josh as he walked in and said wow look how big he got. Early on Saturday March 15th this year, I called Holly on his Birthday and he was pleasantly surprised that I remembered. I told him that I had no choice but to remember since it was the day before Rennie B & Michelles B Day We spoke on the phone for about 50mins reminiscing of those great years at 11B Maraval Road, the golden years of TBC. He spoke of the good times when he and I were responsible for programming the music for Platinum 95 and 95FM was rated #1, scored 12 % listenership in the Media Survey with Twlight and M7 getting 20+%.. He spoke of the nights I will drive when we played out in parties down south. He said he cherished the comradery, the love, the family the staff at TBC had in the 80s & 90s. His words those were the best days of my life I would refer to him in the third person as Holly but through the years I always call him Thomas and he called my Ulti, Ultimate, Basil or Sookram. Holly is my friend, he has been my friend from the first day we met when he came for at audition at TBC to now. We shared music, we went fishing, played in parties and spent many hours together talking about life about music and radio. Back in the 80s on one of his trips to New York he got a sony walkman for Michelle and a Fishing Rod for me and refused my offer to repay him. Holly was an amazing gentleman. his records and Cds were kept in original condition, neatly labeled, He had a beautiful writing style. He was a reliable, dedicated, consummate professional, always well prepared and on time for his Radio Programmes. Holly had a tremendous knowledge of music, he really loved music and thoroughly enjoyed playing music on radio. His studio monitor was always loud and he always had awesome headphones. Holly was always well groomed, well dressed, he was elegant, dapper. He had some of the finest threads a brother can have. His cloths always pressed, his shoes always well polished. He loved to dress for every occasion. When Holly gave fashion tips to his listeners, about mixing and matching and what colours to wear, he knew exactly what he was talking about. Holly charmed the ladies with his voice not only on Radio but on the phone, in person and in public. We all remember his swizzle stick. I am blessed to have walked for a while with Holly on this journey of life, I learned so much from Thomas, shared so many wonderful moments, beautiful memories, with my brother, my friend, my colleague. Thomas on behalf of the TBC family, we love you man, Rest in Peace. https://youtube/watch?v=9KU8tnvk81s
