My Charter Story: Grrrrr I have Charter at Home, Office and - TopicsExpress

My Charter Story: Grrrrr I have Charter at Home, Office and recently bought it for our East Side EMS. A few weeks ago the Fax Line at the office went out. We called Charter and the said the line was fine, yet no faxes would come in or go out. Charter then said it was our machine. So our Copy Fax and Scan Machine people came out and confirmed the Machine was not the problem, the line was dead! If you have ever called Charter you know 20-30 minutes is the minimum wait. We call them back and have to wait days for them to get here. Meanwhile we are out of business because we use the machine to get and send results to clients. While we wait, we learn from our IT people that Charter has made Technical upgrades that cause the line go dead when it is shared with and another device. Our copier had shared the line with our Credit Card Machine and NO ONE at Charter cared to share that with us! Our IT people tell us that Charter is out with several customers of theirs and Charter knew about the problem. So we have to pay someone to run an Ethernet line to our Credit Card Machine because of Charters unannounced changes. Charter came out and confirmed and then those sweet people at Charter charged $115.00 Service Fee instead of telling us on the phone. Then today, I received the bill for EMS. They charged $189.00 service charge! The Customer Service Rep from Charter actually said I was like a small (could not understand the foreign customer supports word) trying to move an elephant SAY WHAT? The customer support man said that to me! THESE PEOPLE HAVE US BY THE YOU KNOW WHAT AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS! Somebody do something! Make it stop.
