My Christmas Wish: To much is made of us vs. them, no matter which us or them you identify with. Love is inclusive not exclusive. Kindness is the conduit by which love is administered, and each time we make exceptions to this principle, love becomes the victim. That is why this Christmas, I want we. No, not a Nintendo, what I want is we. No matter what, we are all in this together, and we should practice kindness to all, even those we disagree with. This is what Jesus did. He was friends with some of the most vile and defenseless of his day, yes even the tax man himself was one of Christs disciples. Jesus was sent here to save us all, not just us or them. Be kind, that is what he taught; Not be kind only to those you look, act, believe, associate, relate, agree, have something in common with, or struggle with. Its easy to be kind to them. The test is when you must keep the commandment when somebody tears you down, attacks you, or attempts to eviscerate your belief system. There are no amendments, special clauses, vetoes, executive orders, or provisos to this idea, yet more than any other, we constantly and consistently attempt to make exceptions.
