My Dear Friends and Family, It was a little over a year ago (March 6) that I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I asked for your prayers. God has been so faithful and I am so grateful for your support during my treatments. I finished my radiation in November and I was regaining strength, my hair was growing back (very curly!). It is a little like deja vu, because I am asking you for your prayers again. A couple of weeks ago, I had a standard follow-up visit with my oncologist and he saw lesions on my skin that he knew was cancer. Of course, he needed the proof, so he sent me to my surgeon that day for a biopsy. In two days, the results were in and it is Metastatic Malignant cancer. The good news, after a CT Scan, it is local recurrence, meaning it has not spread to distant organs. Im very thankful for this. My prayer remains the same: 1) God be glorified through this journey and 2) May people come to know you because of this. I happened to see one of my nurses today and she knew about the recurrence because the tumor board met and discussed my case this week. I felt encouraged by this. I had my port put back in last Thursday and I begin chemo treatments again this Thurs, April 3. I would appreciate your prayers and also for my family. Blessings, Cinda
