My Diary - Visit to Foundry Last week I Visited the Foundry Madras Engineering Industries set up by my friend at . Foundry is like its name is the foundation of entire automobile industry. Few Observations 1. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the foundry. It was very careful and thoughtful design. 2. In foundry, iron is reprocessed 100 percent - completely green. 3. Seeing raw scrap getting converted to molten metal and then transferred to Blocks via remote controlled robot was interesting. This visit has added new perspective in terms of Operations of a Smart Manufacturing in India. Shudnt It be compulsory part of the school education for visit to some manufacturing plant?
