My Eid khutbah today was about submission to Allah swt. Why is it called Eid Al-Adha? Its all about commemorating the submission of Ibrahim (a.s.) to the will of Allah. We are all hit with trials and the trial of Ibrahim was a huge one. Imagine being asked to sacrifice your own son with a blade? Ibrahim didnt ask Why me?.. He believed in the will of Allah and passed the test, hence why he is Kahlil Allah, the close friend of Allah. This is our first Eid without my beloved sister but she was a gift for us from Allah swt and He took her away from us, but we will never complain. Allahs will cannot be argued with, alhamdulilah for everything. Have a blessed Eid. :)
