My Favorite Composer: ...this week celebrates music and cultural legacy of Jean-Phillipe Rameau, 250 years after his death and cultural turbulence due to French Revolution, it is impressive to see how much French have invested in preservation of his work - and interesting composer whose career has not even flourished until about the age of 50 - most traditional music critics would classify Rameau work as entertainment, which to an extent is true, but I feel that one spiritual aspect remains in the composers religious upbringing, for what we know, that certainly remained at least ethically mainstream of his persona.
