My Fellow Citizens! Greetings! I have written to you in the past and I am writing to you again on this eve of elections for the legislative assembly of our state. I am writing to you in my capacity as your fellow residents. Needless for me, is to emphasize the achievements of our beloved Prime Minister in the last couple of weeks, may it be at home or at foreign nations. I am confident; you have been keeping a close watch. I am writing to you today, to call upon you, to give our prime minister a chance this election to ensure the same efficiency and dedication at the state level also. In the past decade or so we have seen our state ruled by mainly two parties. We have also been witness to near absent governance and snail pace of development in our state including our city. We have witnessed terrorist attacks in the state as well as in our own city and also not to forget the lack-luster attitude of the leaders of the ruling political parties after these attacks...terming them as the regular incidences. I do not want to put here the allegations of scams involving caroes of rupees which tainted the leaders of these ruling parties...may it be a local leader of these parties or the ultimate bosses of the same. THE QUESTION TODAY IS: DO WE WANT TO VOTE THEM TO RULE OUR DESTINY AND THAT OF OUR CHILDREN FOR ANOTHER 5 YEARS? My answer to the above question is definitely NO. I see our beloved Prime Minister working 18 hours a day to steer our country towards development. I see him making great effort to steer our country on the path of development and I think this is the time to strengthen him by voting his party to power in our state. I must emphasize here that as a rule... if the government at the centre and the state is of the same party, it has added advantage for the state. Last 10 years being an exception to this rule as in the last 10 years the two parties who were in power did nothing but fill their coffers with money and accuse each other for non-development. Its time that we elect a party with leaders who see power as responsibility and not advantage; it is time that we elect a party with leaders who consider themselves as servant of people and not people as their servants... it time that we correct our own course and stop making mistakes... by voting wrong party to power... its time we vote the right party to power.. Lets think as a common fellow citizen what choices do I have... I have a more than 100 years old party (Congress) with tainted leaders who have relentlessly been involved for the last 10 years in robbing my country of its resources for their personal gains.... I have another party calling themselves as Nationalists whose leaders name is synonym with the quantum of money for which no any word is defined in any language... whose leaders are so corrupt that people joked that he has property on Mars also... whose another leader is so arrogant that he talks about filling the dams with ... I have a third party which was indeed an ally of BJP in the states and is in government at the centre even today...fighting this election with a ambition to win 151 seats... but lets think.. what is their vision for the future... who is going to lead the government, if they come to power... do they have the requisite experience to run the massive task of smooth governance... And, finally I look to the last option... the BJP... a relentless Prime Minister, or shall I say Pradhan-Sewak, at the centre with un-blemish record.... with a resolve to steer the country to development... no non-sense attitude whether it be party collogues, Babus at administration . or foreign leaders.. with only dream to make India a world leader... with a resolve to make state of this country prosperous & safe... I think I have my answer and I am sure you too have yours. As to the candidate... yes I know you have your doubts.. but if I am not wrong, Chinchwad has developed under his tenure..Pimple Saudagar and Wakad are model townships... do we agree...? We need a man who can bring development to our constituency...and definitely Mr. Laxman Jagtap has delivered on this aspect. As to his affiliation to other parties in the past I must say past is past and he has made right decision today by completely disassociating himself from his previous party and we must support him in his endeavor to strengthen our beloved Prime Minister. I must say its a group of elected representative of a party which runs the government and not an individual... We must give our state in the hands of our beloved Prime Minister... who I am sure will stand up to our expectations and will not fail us. At the cost of my credibility with you all, I call upon you all to come together and vote as called upon by our Prime Minister Shri Modi ji in these election as we did in the last general elections and I am sure..none of us will be disappointed. And at last, most importantly, Do Vote! Thanks and Regards Adv. L. K. Jhunjhunwala Your fellow Resident
