My Fellow Constituents, It is with certainty that I admit to doing a lot of thinking and soul searching today. In NB we share in all of those democratic rights that some around the world may never get to exercise. Knowing that so many decided to vote in the election is an example of the way it should always be. Last nights victory in Southwest Miramichi-Bay du Vin is an accomplishment that many of us will forever remember. It has been an outright privilege to represent the people of Southwest Miramichi these past 4 years. As an Opposition MLA my role will change a bit, but it will not prevent me from doing the best I can do to hold this new government accountable. Your interests, as always, are my interests. I welcome this new challenge of representing Southwest Miramichi-Bay du Vin. Many thanks are in order: Thank you Ben Donovan for once again running a tight ship. Thank you to each and every one of our campaign workers. You all worked so passionately and continuously. Thank you to my wife Shannon who raised all 4 of our children while I was campaigning. No easy task there. Thank you for continuing to support me in these decisions to run for public office. Last but not least, thank you to the people of Southwest Miramichi-Bay du Vin for putting your trust in me, standing beside me, and believing in our vision for Miramichi and New Brunswick.
