My Five Best Watches of 2013...finally decided. Not strictly movie based, but just overall... #5 Alan Partridge - Alpha Papa Didnt know what to expect from this...most of the time when a tv-show becomes a movie, its a thumbs down...but this was a great surprise, keeping the humor of the show while having Alan Partridge act just as we would expect him to in the situations the film provided. #4 WWE Summerslam Oh god, Fender giving us more WWE bullshit...any mark that watched it would understand...strong matches, emotional involvement and an active, loud crowd. Not a fan of wrestling?...Lets move on to #3. #3 Before Midnight Even Roser Vilaplana Sellarès at the Odeon told me that she watched this and really liked it...relating to the characters and feeling the realism that the conversations had...much to her surprise, two movies had come before it. Now imagine the kind of enjoyment that would come from somebody who has watched the evolution of these two characters from two previous films reach this point. #2 Prisoners Masterpiece and did not get the attention it deserved. What on paper looked like a typical man looking for his lost daughter film...happened to shine with every other element. Superb performances all round...incredible cinematography by Roger Deakins and sublime music all combined to create some of the most tense scenes that I have watched this year and I found myself more emotionally invested than usual. Some may find it slow, or even boring...and I have debated my reasons to why I think the film was neither. #1 Breaking Bad - Season 5 Episode 14 - Ozymandias Unfortunately some people have not watched all of Breaking Bad yet so I cant bring myself to spoil this treat for them. But anybody who has seen it will probably agree it was one of the best things that had graced the silver-screen in 2013... HONORABLE MENTIONS NXT - Sami Zayn / Antonio Cesaro - 2/3 Falls Match Only God Forgives The Worlds End Django Unchained (Cut this one due to it technically being 2012) Mr. Nobody (Same reason as Django...only technically 2010)
