My God rewards a faithful servant story for today goes like this... My friend Amy who came into my life probably about a year ago when she was told to find a womens group and get involved and meet other women in the area got called me yesterday and said that she wanted to go to church with me today. I told her that I was busy with my family and business this weekend however we should touch base in the morning thinking that she wouldnt call me this morning. At about 10 to 9 my daughter called and said that she and the grandkids were going to the 10am service so my husband and I started to scramble around to get ready. Amy called around 9 asking if I was going to go to church and I said yes however could not pick her up because it was late and we were working to make it to church by 10. She said that she would meet half way and I said that my schedule was too tight and I still could not meet her half way. We said our good byes and an hour later I was at church listening to Pastor Tom talk about how we must be ready to listen to Gods call to help bring others to God. I looked at my husband and said Amy. Well I was feeling pretty bad after that because I hadnt done Gods work today so God gave me another chance. In the afternoon Amy called again and asked if there was church this evening any where that I knew and I said no, hung up and went to walk my dogs. While walking two things happened 1. My alarm went off at 5:14PM (based on Ephesians 5:14) which happens every day to which I respond Yes Lord. Your servant is listening. and 2. I remembered that Christ Fellowship has an evening service at City Place. I called Amy back and told her that Christ Fellowship had a 7PM service at City Place and I would pick her up and take her. She was surprised and happy. We arrived at church and I did my best to introduce her to some of the members there and then we went and sat down. After a while more people arrived and found their seats and two young men and a woman sat next to us. When the pastor asked us to introduce ourselves to the people around us, I ended up spending my entire two minutes talking to a very nice young man who had roots in Puerto Rico. Of all the people in that church, I met someone with roots in Puerto Rico. The amazing thing about that is that our Corporate Founder is going to be in Puerto Rico this week and I am looking for people who want to build in Puerto Rico. I did Gods work of taking Amy to church and God rewarded me with a new contact with roots in Puerto Rico. Wow... so cool. God is great!
