My Gratitude and My Salute To All of You Who Stood By Me, Magandang Gensan! From the bottom of my heart and soul, let me thank you for all the immeasurable support you have given me and the AIM Family. Thank you for the overwhelming shower of love and loyalty. Hindi matatawaran at hindi kayang bayaran ang ipinakita at ibinigay ninyong suporta at sakripisyo. Your selfless commitment made our journey easier. I could not have finished the race without all of you. Thank you for standing by me up to the finish line. I may have not won this race but it does not mean I am defeated. Because our victory is in every heart of the thousand Generals who fought with fairness; our victory is in every soul that rallied for decency; our victory is in every spirit lit with dignity; our victory is in every General who believes in honor and morality; our victory is in the resounding voice of your integrity. That is my sweet victory. That is my glorious legacy. Nothing is more grand and magnificent a triumph than a noble and dignified soul. My hope and prayer is for that grandeur to remain embedded in your soul and ingrained in your hearts. Keep it burning and keep it shining. My heart weeps as I see your tears. My soul bleeds as I feel your pain. But this, too, shall pass. We will overcome this temporary episode and we will rise above this test. Let us continue to be good, to do good, and to be vanguards of what is good. I am and will always be your champion in this crusade for integrity. You have afforded me a precious privilege I will forever be grateful for- the opportunity to be your servant. Because of that, I can step out of the portals of the local government brimming with pride and joy; with a heart filled with gratitude and love; with a heart full with grace and humility. I have shared with you nine years of my life as your Congress Representative and three years as your City Mayor. While I have no regrets over those twelve wonderful years. I have nonetheless, been away from my family. I will be beside my family now, but I assure you my love and prayers will always remain in our beloved General Santos City. I will still be in the fold of public service and I will still be around. We will continue what we have founded and we will continue to work together for what is good and what is right.
