My Hero died tonight. His name was Newton Shows and what a man he was. Born in Louisiana he will be buried there in Fisher where he and my Dad spent a many a night and day hunting their packs of hounds. I will never forget his visits to our home and when he was quarterback for U of H. Then he became an Oceanografer and traveled all over the world. Tales from Africa to South America. I adored him an thought of him as an handsome daring Hero .I saw him several months ago and his condition was deterating but did not expect to lose him so soon. As i told his wife Norma in the movie Heaven is for Real the little boy said there was animals in heaven and i can see my dad and Newtie hunting now the thought gives me overwhelming joy! God bless his adoring wife Norma and beautiful family. I will miss him just like i miss my father. Love you Little Newtie.
