My Issue With Christian Apologetics Many of you are familiar - TopicsExpress

My Issue With Christian Apologetics Many of you are familiar with my illuminist scribbles or my post-modern mythology in Corpus Gnostica. But this is a more serious discussion. This post is not addressed to the nasty, hate mongering evangelical and politically right wing extremist Christians who I reject out of hand. I want to first set as an a-priori statement that I believe that some Christians are sincere in their faith. This post is addressed to these “true Christians” who themselves often label modern fundamentalists as extremist heretics. The core of the “true” Christian faith is the belief that man is born with original sin due to a fall from perfection and grace. This fall occurred due to a separation from God through the arrogance and overreaching of early man to become godlike themselves. This original sin is inherent in human nature, and that humanity is destined for torment in an eternal afterlife due to their ancestor’s transgressions. But God remains merciful and sacrificed himself as his own avatar to atone for, or make humanity one again with himself. That by simply believing that God sacrificed himself to atone for humanity, our original state of sin disappears. By accepting this ‘personal sacrifice” we are washed clean of this innate and non-personal, while oddly also individualized sin. Through faith, the individual is restored to the original state of grace, to be born again into the kingdom of God in the afterlife or to be “raptured” into heaven when the avatar God returns to earth. The newly saved or atoned for Christian also experiences a transformed life, in which they behave as a symbolic representative of Son of God, expressing a new and deeply compassionate sympathy for their fellow humanity. In a nutshell this is true Christianity. I simply see no reason to believe that ‘true Christianity” holds any validity. I also believe that the sincere people who embrace these ideas are in grave error. The core of the Christian faith is … faith. Faith is simply an emotional belief in something without demonstrable reason. Faith is sheer ignorance; surrender by the lazy minded to sub ambulant mental constructs. I argue that faith must die. Faith is mental disease and death. I argue in favor of self-evident truths and in the preponderance of the evidence. I believe in gravity because things fall when I drop them. I believe that I will die, because everyone before me has died. I believe in the rule of probable outcomes. I believe that it is highly likely that tomorrow will come within a few hours, but I know that a comet could strike the earth, ending our civilization before I complete this post. Reality is underpinned by the real, and this fact is demonstrable to anyone who cares to observe these patterns and processes. I often fly because the probability is high that I will arrive at my designation. If I did not accept this fact, I would be forced to live my life hiding under my bed eating poorage. We all live by the immutable rule of probability. Therefore, rationally… logically… probalistically… I must ask you, how likely is the above Christian proposition? It is frankly as likely as the belief that a fairy will come in the night and replace teeth hidden by children under pillows with money. Would you accept the Christian myth if you were not pre-programed to believe in it from childhood? What if everything in your culture taught you to believe in only verifiable truths or probabilities? Faith is the core of ignorance. Faith underpins the evils in our world. Faith and hate are two sides of the same coin. Understanding the probable outcomes of actions and non-actions underpin modern science and society. Believe in probable outcomes sustain modern society. Chaos reigns in a world governed by faith. Faith is the quicksand of social progress. With Christian apologetics, and here I refer only to arguments offered by “true Christians,” we find a strange and convoluted ramp into a world of nonsense and myth. Their arguments defy all probability. I unconditionally condemn the “true Christians” for their unashamed stupidity. These well-educated and modern Christians see their religion in free-falling decline in the modern world, and scramble to redefine their faith in a post-modern context. Absurd statements based upon blind, stubborn faith, undermine their dexterity of thought. Faith is too passive; it is lazy. But faith is also mean and cruel. It is easily twisted to justify murder. I denounce faith. I want to be clear. I am not even bothering with those Christian heretics who preach a dogmatic, evangelical fundamentalism. I will not waste my time arguing a rather obvious case against the gospel of wealth televangelists or the feel good new age Christianity. Here I want to undermine the faith of “good Christians” by first denouncing the doctrine of original sin. I openly declare that I am without sin. Good Christians may sneer and cast their stones, but their actions are a reflection upon their intellectual dishonesty. I am without original sin and I was not born into this world pre-judged and condemned by a tooth fairy god. I stand before creation alone … unblemished. I have committed and confess many societal and personal mistakes. But sin… I deny that sin exists. Everyone stands in this same moral flat land. As a race, we stand face to face with eternity. We struggle and survive as our cultural and personal norms permit. No faith mongers have the right to judge their peers. Faith in original sin is latent hate. Sin is a lie. It does not exist. Salvation is the knowledge that sin is not forgiven because it never was. I know that there is evil in the world because too many people prefer to do evil things to feel superior. But sin and evil are not the same thing. I denounce evil and the deeds of evil people, but I will not blame my personal flaws on a fairy tail. I do not accept the arrogant argument that I have fallen from grace through some petty act by an ancient ancestor. Anyone who does accept such an idea is stupid. Humanity is born into a state of pure grace, against all probability, we as life forces were able to manifest through pure will power from a non-physical dimension to this place in space-time. We are alive through our own eternal will to power and manifestation. Life is the highest state of grace. This space-time matrix is heaven. We are divine. We do not need a false guilt based faith to mar our miraculous manifestation in this holy sanctuary. I condemn the “true Christians” for denouncing our holy mission. We are angels of light. Angels of light do not apologize for their existence. There was no fall from grace. Your mind is the sleeping mind of God. There is no higher divine state to be obtained beyond the state of peace and conscious wakefulness. I categorically denounce the foolish notion that godhead divided itself into father and son, sacrificing itself to itself for sins committed by another. God is undifferentiated, and yet exponentially diffused into all elements… equally and undiminished. I denounce as heretics those that claim that God is petty, vengeful, as well as those that claim that God is self sacrificing and merciful. All of these are lower, baser traits, unworthy of realities’ God. I steel myself for my inevitable passing into the sleeping consciousness of potential, by marveling at the wonder of reality as it dances across the matrix of mental form. This truth has no recognition of guilt or sacrifice. The soul does not require atonement. We exist within the Kingdom of God without sin or blemish. I do not require, accept, or pray for anything that the “true Christians” confess to their brothers. The “true Christian” dogma is demonic, unworthy of debate… sheer madness. There is no core message within Christianity worthy of redemption from the sewer into which modern Christianity has sunk. This religion has led the masses of humanity to the brink of extinction. The person of faith is insane. Reject insanity and live your life as an awakened and fiery filament of God. Rejected ignorance as well and its “well intentioned” acolytes.
