My Kindle Fire has been having issues ever since they announced they were updating the software over the coming weeks, and today it blue screened (I didnt even know Kindles could do that) while I was playing a game. It refused to restart, so I called their tech department and they led me through a variety of things that Id already done - pressing and holding the power button, plugging it in to see if it ran out of charge, etc. They instructed us to plug it into the computer- and the computer didnt acknowledge the kindle at all. About the try another cord point is the point I lost it. We plugged our phone into the existing cord to prove that yes that cord worked, then found another cord, and tried that one. Unsurprisingly, the kindle still didnt work. So Mr. Brilliance at tech support said Oh well leave it charging for half an hour and Ill call you back. What part of a) It had charge in it when it died and b) the computer wont acknowledge it at all did you miss?? Also, they asked whether or not Id dropped or put pressure on it!!!! Its in an Otter Box for one, and for two I was lying calmly in bed playing a game when it just suddenly blue screened. Which I told him at the beginning of the call. Amazon I need better tech service than this. My Fire , which was working perfectly beforehand, sickened and died after receiving news of an update. This is unacceptable bs. Also can things stop going wrong now? Id really appreciate that.
