My Little Pumpkin was 5 months old yesterday. ♡ some pictures (some youve seen, some you havent) of the last month. He is very content and happy overall. :) The day after my last update my mom had called me while I was at work and let me know that Rex seemed like he wasnt quite himself and was acting kind of sick. I took him to the doctor. I found out through some chest xrays that he has pneumonia again or still. The pulmologist appointment was already in place to take a peak at his airway and lungs so that was perfect. The pulmologist did another chest xray and compared it to the first time he had pneumonia and also the one from the week before. Significant improvement thanks to some antibiotics. The pulmologist also agreed that another swallow should be done to rule out if aspiration is a possible cause. The swallow study results were that while the study is just a snapshot he did not aspirate, however, was at high risk from 2 factors. So, we are thickening his formula to help. Development wise, I could not be more proud some times. Last night he grabbed a toy that I didnt expect him to grab. And I just stood there in amazement. ♡ He loves mornings versus nights. He loves to look at pictures in books, mobile & now he is in the starting phases of using his hands versus just noticing them. Sometimes we have little coo-ing conversations and I love them. He smiles a lot but to get him to laugh is work. But, when he does... it is worth all of the effort. He also loves to just observe. He is still so alert! He is sleeping in his crib and for the majority of the night on most nights. He enjoys being sung to and also trying to join in, especially with Grandpa. He is really lucky to have such a loving family close by! He spends time with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins & of course, Grandma and Grandpa. ♡
