My Mimi cat just passed away..... I held her til she took her last breath.....we got her when she was 6 yrs old and have had her for 10 years , she was a very independent cat when we got her.... you did not hold her and could barely pet her... I always felt she may have been abused by a man because she really didnt like men it seemed.... but gradually and I mean very gradually she let us pet her on her own terms.... she would give us kisses on our cheeks....but I never really held her til the last past week and a half when she became so sick....we will really miss her around here......she never really meowed, she never came up and rubbed up against your leg, once when a friend in Sulphur watched her while we were on vacation they thought she may have gotten out of the house...but no.... it took us about a month till we finally figured out where she was hiding in the house...and finally we returned her back to her real home.... we will miss her greatly.....lots of tears flowing .......
