My Morning Paper 19th March 2014 By Their Fruit They Shall be known “Ye shall know them by their fruit…..” Matthew 7:16 “Roberts: PM intervention with bank not unreasonable” The Nassau Guardian, 19th March, 2014 Excerpt from this article: “Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Chairman Bradley Roberts yesterday called Free National Movement (FNM) Leader Dr. Hubert Minnis “politically immature” for what he said was an unfocused plan of attack on the Christie administration. Minnis said Prime Minister Perry Christie’s admission last Thursday that he intervened with a local bank in an effort to help the government’s value-added tax (VAT) coordinator Ishmael Lightbourne save his home was “inappropriate” and an “abuse of power.” It seems that each and every time that the chairman of the PLP opens his mouth he reveals the true nature of himself and his party. It now seems that he [the chairman of the PLP] would have the country, a lot of home are facing foreclosure, that it is appropriate/right for a government official especially the Prime Minister himself to act on behalf on a private citizen in a matter such as this; blurred line. The Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party would also want us to believe that it is appropriate for the coordinator to have not paid his taxes for almost twenty years when it is clear that at some point in time during this period he should have had been able to paid the real property taxes on his home that, in my opinion, have been greatly reduced. Mr Roberts would have us believe that the Hon. Dr. Minnis is incompetent in his duties as he lack political maturity; this point that Mr. Roberts attempts to drive home with each and every opportunity that he gets would be laughable if it was not for the simple fact that this government continues to show us each and every day that they lack any type of standards, morals, or ethics. So yes by their fruits; incompetence, ineptitude, laziness and hypocrisy, they the Progressive Liberal party has be known.
