My Music Ministry Testimony - October 26, 2013 Friends, I’m sure all of you remember the testimony of mine about the little Baptist Church I went to as a child and how at 4 ½ years old I went to sing for the old man that had never been to church and we drank water together out of the old water dipper and how he came to church the following Sunday just to hear me sing, well, I got to go back to that little church and sing and give that testimony last night. Praise the Lord! Here is how it all got started. When I first started to work at the jail I would pass that little church every evening on my way home and I would say a prayer for God to bless it and fill it and keep it going because it was a very special place to me. I started feeling led to go there one Sunday and give my testimonies of how I was saved there as a little child, how God woke me up one Sunday in church and called me to be saved and shortly after began a song ministry for Jesus as a little child. I’ve been passing that church for about 2 ½ years now and sometime in July of this year I saw two men in front of the church so I stopped and talked to them to see if one of them was the Pastor, and he was. The little Baptist Church was now a Church of God Church and the people that once attend it were white, now they are black. I wasn’t sure what they were going to say or think when I first stopped to talk to them but as I began to tell them my testimony and how I used to sing there when I was a small child every Sunday and Wednesday night, one of them said, “Why don’t you come and tell your testimony for us and sing for us to.” And I said, “I might just do that.” A few months has passed now and here it is October and now I have recorded a CD and had a soundtrack made so I could use it to sing in church, so I saw the Pastor, Wednesday evening on my way home from work and I stopped and told him I was ready to come and sing and when I stopped he told me they were having revival that week so we set it for last night. On the way home that day I began to cry tears of joy…..exceeding joy….a feeling that is hard to explain. When I got home I went out on my back porch and just prayed and told God how much I love Him because I knew in my spirit that God was going to do a mighty work in that little church last night and He did. I can’t begin to tell you the blessing I received just by going back to the old church I attended as a child. As I told my testimony, tears began to flow from my eyes…..”This is where it all started with me and Jesus,” I told them. I told them how important their little church is and how I believe God is going to fill it with people and little children of all ages and these little children would grow up in that church and carry on a great work for The Lord, etc. I could go on and on but I will close by saying we were all truly blessed last night. Some were healed, and I believe all of us were filled with a renewal of the Holy Spirit. The Pastor and his wife, Mr. & Mrs. Bernell Henry were as sweet as they could be and so were all of the members there. Friends, God is leading me into various churches. He wants His people to be healed, delivered, and free!!!! Black, White, Indian, Hispanic, Foreign, etc., He wants His people set free and I will go where He leads me…….Praise The Lord!!!!
