My My Miss American Pie...this is the day that I died. One year ago today whilst running on the track at Keystone Oaks High School I suffered a heart attack and my heart stopped. Two nurses and an electrician who were also on the track, came to my rescue with a defibrillator and brought me back to life. The Mt. Lebo paramedics arrived quickly and revived me a second time. My neighbor Joe Gruschecky, who somehow I dialed while going down, came running to the track from his house a block away and identified me and called my friend Lance. I was whisked away to St Claire hospital, where they put me on ice for a few days, did by-pass surgery and got me back on my feet. Im am grateful to the surgeon, cardiologists, nurses and the many good people at St. Claire Hospital for their excellent care. My friends and family came to visit, some from out of town, to cheer up my spirits and to help my wife Maryann. Maryann took me home and took great care of me during me recovery. My employer Tata Consulting and my client JP Morgan Chase were very supportive and eased me back into work. I owe so much to many people for their help and encouragement.
