My Nebraskan friends dont cease to impress me. This is a friend of mine who I met when he brought his own heavy equipment to help Team Rubicon with the tornado relief effort in Beaver Crossing. He owns his own painting business and manages to work more hours than there are in a day. Now that winter is rolling in at full force its time to hit overdrive and finish projects as he prepares to switch gears to snow removal. Unfortunately, equipment cant always keep up. Last night I rode along to lend a hand as he needed to trailer home his work truck because its transmission went out on a job site. In well below freezing temperatures this couldnt wait until daylight because the valuable paint in the back would freeze and we had to move with haste and get this done before that happened. It was cold, it was late, it was dark, it had to be done. We wrapped up a little after 11pm, and he was back at action at 7am. You could tell him that he needs to take a break, but hed tell you that hell do that when the work is done. By the way, hes only 26 years old.
