My Newest Harmonicas are split reed harps .. I use reeds from different key harmonicas to build a custom harp.. Also have been fine tuning reed plates to the boss tu-12 h tuner with a file and a mini mini mallet to ring the reed .. Some reeds I have pop out, in order to make the one I want.. Some I only cut a reed partial, then file a bit . I have left some reeds very short to have a high note in the middle of the face... For New and neat harmonies and unheard of harp sounds . Experiment with your old harps , parts and think wisely with keys and how you will use it . If The notes you want are in the other harp , move them to the one you need.
